I’ve been using the Maps function quite a bit lately and have been yearning for GPS capabilities. $90 ain’t too bad, but I’d love for something that didn’t stick out like this.
My T-mobile Dash died Saturday night but fortunately my company came through, giving us all iPhones on Monday. I’m in love. Somehow it’s the first Apple product I’ve owned. I don’t have cable (or even basic television), but I got to watch Guitar Queero on my iPhone!
Other favorite features include calendar events with multiple alarms, visual voicemail, one touch stock updates, quick finger moves to zoom and zoom out on photos and the graphic design on the calculator screen.
I kid, he’s one of my favorite artists, but he has revealed that Sweet Caroline was inspired by President Kennedy’s daughter.
“I’ve never discussed it with anybody before _ intentionally,” the 66-year-old singer-songwriter told The Associated Press on Monday during a break from recording. “I thought maybe I would tell it to Caroline when I met her someday.”
He got his chance last week when he performed the song via satellite at Caroline Kennedy’s 50th birthday party.
Diamond was a “young, broke songwriter” when a photo of the president’s daughter in a news magazine caught his eye.
“It was a picture of a little girl dressed to the nines in her riding gear, next to her pony,” Diamond recalled. “It was such an innocent, wonderful picture, I immediately felt there was a song in there.”

A friend and I went to a showing of the Ralph Nader documentary An Unreasonable Man last night at the Miami Beach Cinematheque. Joe Tom Easely, a friend of Naders who was against his running for president in 2000 and one of the main interviewees in the movie, spoke afterwards and a poli-sci prof from FIU was there to encourage a discussion about the film/moderate.
A very good movie, balanced, as Joe said Ralph feels about it. Unfortunately during the screening one man felt the need to loudly agree with just about any fact about Nader. During the discussion, an older couple decided to try to takeover any dialogue by yelling insults about Nader or anyone that disagreed with them. I felt sorry for the professor.
Could be the title of a bad movie, or Pancho, head of Miccosukee security.
Investigators said officers responded to reports of car break-ins at a Miccosukee Indian Reservation parking lot located at 500 S.W. 177th Ave. in Miami.
One of the men was quickly captured by officers during the incident last week but the other robbery suspect tried to elude officer by jumping into a large pond behind the facility, according to a WJXT-TV report.
During the swim, police said, an alligator attacked and killed the man. He was apparently bitten on the head several times.
The victim’s body was recovered at the bottom of the pond about a day after the reported break-ins.

Chemists have created a collection of molecules that may have effects superior to marijuana. They are hybrids of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient in weed, and anandamide, the euphoria-causing chemical found in sea urchin eggs.
A hefty price drop apparently. 90,000 HD DVD players were sold this past weekend. I do specifically remember a commercial last week showing a wife making her man happy at the low price of a $99 Toshiba player.
As gizmodo asks, who was responsible?
