Remote Wii

Tom’s Hardware Guide built a solar powered, mobile Wii setup and took it for a stroll on the Venice boardwalk. Pretty nifty and $1,431.17 isn’t a bad price, especially considering they used a $700 HD monitor.

Check out video of the unit in action.

Lasse Gjersten can’t play the drums or piano, but after banging on a set of drums and hitting single keys, he edits it all together to create a continuous song.

home theaters

TecheBlog has a great post on three killer home theaters. The above Opera House has to be my favorite. Nice attention to detail.

This Star Trek theater that was on Gizmodo last week is pretty wild too.

Chocolate NES

This is currently at $41 on ebay. Weighing in at 7 ounces, buttlesscutlass78 might want to think of making more than 3 of these. Might also want to keep it off the floor….

Some amazing creations. Includes instructions so you can make your own.

Also see these cool olive penquins. A friend made them for a holiday party, they actually looked even better as they also had red pepper scarves.

Pool Cooling

“Cooler, quieter computers and [possibly] warmer pool water with very little extra cost and added energy savings.”

Pretty interesting, but all that electricity and self-plumbing is a disaster waiting to happen.

At Where on Earth? you can all kinds of junk. Sifting through it’s poor design and color scheme is entertaining too! The T-Rex mount is actually one of the more normal things on the site.

homer puzzle

Solve 150 jigsaw puzzles to complete this bust of Homer. After you finish, you color him with the included paint. 750 pieces.

It’d be cool if it contained a new story, but it’s most likely scenes from past episodes.

gingerbread house

Picked up a ‘kwik build’ gingerbread house kit for $8.88 at Sam’s Club. Put it together in a home that was ravaged by hurricane andrew. After many attempts to support the roof with tree cookies, we thought our masterpiece was complete. Then while giving a tour, we noticed a wall was toppled over, surely crushing anyone still inside.

On the bright side, it was 80 degrees outside and I wasn’t in Denver International Airport.
