Agreed, physical discs shouldn't matter in a few years. They shouldn't matter already if various companies had their shit together. I joined the Blockbuster All-Access, it rocks. I'm going to probably drop gamefly as I can just swap out games or movies 10 feet from my apt now. yeah I got to Blockbuster for the first time last week in a few years and was surprised to see the HD-DVD area.

Agreed, physical discs shouldn’t matter in a few years. They shouldn’t matter already if various companies had their shit together.

I joined the Blockbuster All-Access, it rocks. I’m going to probably drop gamefly as I can just swap out games or movies 10 feet from my apt now.

They want to skip the high def discs and use their codecs to stream high def video. You didn't look hard enough at HD DVD players. You can find a Toshiba A2 from time-to-time for $199. The only movie that I can't get on HD DVD that I really wish I could is Casino Royale. I watched The Fountain on HD DVD. The high def didn't make it make any more sense.
