Bypass Napa

As one poster on the winecountry.com messageboard declares-

“The town of Healdsburg is a great base because:

It is the centre of Sonoma County wine country.
It is 1 hour and 15 minutes north of San Francisco.
It is the wine country destination closest to the coast (only 45 minutes).
It is surrounded by the Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and the Alexander Valley.
It is a great base for hiking or biking (you can rent bikes in town).”

You may want to visit soon as Francis Ford Coppola has apparently purchased land in the area.

A few of the wineries I recently visited:
Quivira
Lambert Bridge
Alderbrook
